After the incredible response to the original Ryukyu Guardians Version I, first released in 2021, Devil Dog Inventions received countless requests to bring the series back. We’re excited to announce the next chapter with an all-new design—the 2026 Ryukyu Guardians Version II.
Rather than simply recreating the original, we gave these legendary Shisa guardians a completely new look while preserving the rich Okinawan culture and symbolism that made the first release so popular. Version II features an all-new sculpt with enhanced detail, showcasing traditional Okinawan architecture, island landscapes, cherry blossoms, and iconic imagery that celebrates the spirit of the Ryukyu Islands.
Designed as a matching pair, these guardians symbolize protection, strength, and good fortune, making them a standout addition to any military or challenge coin collection.
